Some of y'all may have noticed that I’ve been posting less
frequently these days. That’s because this is my least favorite time of the
year here in TX. Oh sure – we got a heck of a lot more rain this year than last
but it is still a good old Texas summer. Hot, dry, brown and hard to work
outside for very long.
I’ve started thinking about fall and looking forward to
cooler temperatures but this is gardening hell as far as I’m concerned. I’m
just watering frequently and trying to hold things together in the landscape
until conditions improve.
But – there are some pretty incredible things about living
in Galveston, even at this time of year. Last night’s Blue Moon is a perfect
example. We gathered at the beach for a bonfire and enjoyed the show.
