Over the years I have accumulated numerous gardening books.
Some as gifts, some I purchased and some have just mysteriously appeared on our
book shelves. Many of these books are trusted references, frequently used for
problem solving. Others are more of a “one time read.” Now that we’re downsizing
I would like to find a good home for some of these books. And - I’m thinking I may not be the only person in this situation.
That’s why I’m proposing a Book Swap at this month’s
Galveston Gardening Happy Hour (GGHH).
When: June 20th (Wednesday) from 5:30 - 7:30 pm
Where: The Wizard - 2325 Church Street here in Galveston.
Bring any used gardening books (or related titles) you would like to share with fellow gardeners and we’ll have a give-away/swap session.
As usual - we'll also
have a few door prizes.
Don't forget - you can bring plants or other garden goodies to share with participants.
ALSO - GGHH participants are "encouraged" (but certainly not required) to bring stuff like...
Pictures of your yard or garden...
(Mine are on my phone)
Plant problems...
(I'll have a scope set up for a close look at bugs and other critters)
And gardening topics you would like to discuss...
You can also find more GG info and comments on Facebook...

Hope to see you there...
Remember - the GGHH is not a club, organization, volunteer group or society. No dues, membership fees or entrance requirements. Just a group of folks getting together to discuss gardening on this tiny sliver of land we call Galveston Island (Oh BTW - mainlanders ALWAYS welcome!!!). While, of course, enjoying a beverage of choice.
