Just a quick reminder about the upcoming Galveston Gardening Happy Hour (GGHH) to be held on March 14th (Wednesday) from 5:30 - 7:30 pm at the Wizard - 2325 Church Street here in Galveston.
Our last informal gathering was lots of fun and the exchange of information was great. So we're looking forward to another outstanding event.
I've rustled up some pretty cool door prizes to be given away at the GGHH. Tom's Thumb has donated a few discount certificates and my friend and former colleague, Dr. Doug Welsh, gave me a copy of his book (Texas Garden Almanac) as a special give away. I'll also try to have a couple of plants to add to the list.
Don't forget - you can bring plants or other garden goodies to share with participants.
ALSO - GGHH participants are "encouraged" (but certainly not required) to bring stuff like...
Pictures of your yard or garden...
(Mine are on my phone)
Plants to share or be identified...
Plant problems...
(I'll have a scope set up for a close look at bugs and other critters)
You can also find more info and comments on the GG Facebook page...

Hope to see you there...
Remember - the GGHH is not a club, organization, volunteer group or society. No dues, membership fees or entrance requirements. Just a group of folks getting together to discuss gardening on this tiny sliver of land we call Galveston Island (Oh BTW - mainlanders ALWAYS welcome!!!). While, of course, enjoying a beverage of choice.
