On Thursday December 8, 2011 the Galveston Garden Club will present...

Mr. Jim Johnson
Distinguished Lecturer
Buddy Benz School of Floral Design
Texas A&M University, CS

Jim is an incredible talent and internationally recognized floral designer. His book, Flowers: Creative Design, is considered by many to be the guide to modern floral design. It is used by colleges, universities, and instructional programs throughout the world. In addition to teaching classes and lecturing, Mr. Johnson is also Director of the M. Benz Gallery of Floral Art. He annually coordinates numerous dis­plays and exhibits featuring floral art from around the world.

On Thursday, December 8, Mr. John­son will demonstrate a variety of floral techniques and skills used by professional designers. Jim’s experience and artfulness will inspire your holiday creativity.


Remember - you don’t have to be a GGC member to attend!

HOWEVER - we do ask that you RSVP to help us plan ahead for adequate seating and refreshments. Just drop us an email at GalvestonGardenClub@gmail.com with the number of people that will be attending.


Of course - all of our meetings take place at the historic 1847 Powhatan House, located at 3427 Avenue O in Galveston.

Activities kick off at 5:00 pm with a brief social gathering - followed by the program around 6:00. So plan on coming early to enjoy a cool beverage, in our grand home, prior to the start of the program.
